Kerrang! editor Paul Brannigan and Fightstar frontman Charlie Simpson have just read out the nominations for this year’s Kerrang! Awards. All eyes turned to the stage as the pair announced the shortlist for nominees. As each of the eight awards were read out, cheers filled the room, as it soon became clear that tonight's headliners Enter Shikari had already done astoundingly in the online voting, nominated for a whopping four awards.
"It's great to be nominated again," said frontman Rou Reynolds. "Thanks to everyone that voted for us! We're still shocked from being nominated last year, really! Hopefully this time we won't have a show, and can actually make the Awards!"
My Chemical Romance also picked up an impressive four nominations, while other artists up for a potential K! gong include Gallows, Muse, Lostprophets, Biffy Clyro, Madina Lake and Fall Out Boy.

No MCR for best live band...proper shocked!
Seen all the bands in the nominees apart from Muse...who i know are awesome live anyway...but MCR were by far the best live band i've ever seen!
AVA are good live, but they barely even play in this country so how the hell are they up there...have they even played England since after the last K! Awards? Probably once for one of them typical one off London gigs all bands do!
Ah well!
Satified with the rest!
Oh...and what happened to best band on the planet?
