atlast they win something. nevermind tho, 5 awesome albums, great live shows what more can you ask from a band.oh yeah not sell out and guess what they may not sell as much records as emo's but they are ORIGINAL and NOT POP!!!
classic up until the last cd. my god was that horrible. everything up until then was nearly untouchable.
Not that this really means much, but at least this awesome band gets recognition in a angry teenage girls' magazine (whose website I'm wasting time on).

It's great that they won. Interestingly appropriate award to win: "Classic Song Writer..." Of course, if you remember, they did win a Grammy for "Elite" if your looking for mainstream recognition (which to all of us 'tones fans is not that important). For those who don't like the direction they've gone since Adrenaline and Around the Fur: take another listen to those other three. They're still evolving and doing new things without leaving their essential identity behind. I liken their evolution to Tool. I think Lateralus was a superior album, but 10,000 Days had its own genius. Can't waith for the new D!!!
Its great that deftones have won this award.
i'm gobsmacked that kerrang have been able to reconise a great band seen as all the other drool that kerrang have given good feedback about most of which is emo shit that sounds the same as each other i hate the way rock music has apparently evolved into!
Deftones still miles above all the rest!!!
