But still they are a good band.. ALthough i think they aren't that good. Some alright songs. Congratulations.
That's surprising, usually Kerrang only ever gives shitty bands awards. Nine Inch Nails/Trent Reznor are/is amazing, well-deserved.
They deserve it - a band from an era when alt music was at it's greatest (I'm surprised they won it, expected some wanky-haired emopop band)

Well deserved but Trent should be getting awards for everything he has done in the past 8 months (plus of course for the work he has done before):
- best marketing pratice
- best fan contact
- best album
- best live performance
- best real "alternative" band
Trent has been kicking record companies asses for a while now and he is spreading new ideas all the time. At the moment there is a lot going on on www.nin.com. Every could of hours one new picture posted by the band appears for a while. Those shots are taken by the band while they are on tour in Europe. Very good stuff indeed. Also they have started posting their own live performance videos on youtube, so everyone can see new performances in a good quality if they are unable to attend a gig themselves. Also he keeps telling the audience to steal his new album from the web, if they cannot efford it, saying that he is OK with that. Great man! That´s all I have to say about this...

He's a total lyrical genius.
They put on the best live performances ever also.
I was actually lucky enough to meet Aaron North of NIN when i went to see them play Edinburgh at T-on the fringe.
in my opinion one of th only true rockstars at the kerrang awards im surprised he won considering kerrangs tendency to award the shittest bands and slag off the legends its just goodto know tht trent and NIN will be around long after emo has drowned in its own crap nd kerrang have moved on to the nxt gimmick band

Maybe there's hope for Kerrang yet. They haven't totally forgotten all non-emo/bands over 2 years old then! Just saw NIN F*CKING OWN READING. Along with the Pumpkins they have hopefully shown all the emo scenesters what they are missing. Just wish they had both been at Download to save me sitting through hours of shite at Reading while waiting for them.
NIN is not shite...you don't like it at all...put it this way, plz...I'm very proud of my taste now even if awards are a bit meaningless (talking from experience) I love to see my idol win prizes for his amazing work (imo)

Wel, it's about time. Considering all the dedication and hard work Trent has put into giving us brilliant music for well over a decade (nearly 2)...and still going strong.
Amy, please shut the hell up. You have no idea what you're talking about. Nine Inch Nails and MCR are both my two favourite bands in the world. There is no 'mcr emo squad' and considering no MCR fans are on here complaining who this award has gone to maybe its time you kept your mouth closed and accepted that some people like a variety of music. NIN has revolutionized music for almost two decades now. There is no stopping the one man army of Trent Reznor and his music just gets better with time. Year Zero is absolutely mind blowing and nothing, NOTHING compares to it out there. Congrats Trent!!!

fuck the peple hoo say the bands that are popular today aren't good. let me guess,mcr, fall out boy, and other bands like that r who ur aiming at right? i kind of like nin, they are just a little differet, and sometimes not in a good way, but they ARE a all time great who many peepl like. EMO IS A PILE OF SHIT!!!!!
