Over 500 eager Kerrang! readers have been going mental to Turisas, Kids In Glass Houses and The Answer... And we've still got the Kerrang! Awards nominations (up in five minutes) Fightstar and Enter Shikari to come!
Finland's finest Turisas took to the stage a little later than planned (it takes time to cover yourself in fake blood y'know) at 13:30. Fresh from a set at the legendary Wacken festival in Germany, the fur and blood-clad metalheads set feet a-stomping with their folk-meets-riffs-meets-cavemen music, including their inspiring cover of Boney M classic 'Rasputin'.
Next up were young Welsh hopefuls Kids In Glass Houses, frontman Aled Philips calling for everyone to give a big cheer to Kerrang! for putting on the event, and also asking for an amusing rowdy cheer for "virgins" in the house. Half an hour of mass singalongs and arm waving later, the lads took to the signing table in a flurry of grins and sweaty hair.
"The show was awesome," said the frontman, "We really weren't expecting such a good response! Thank you!"
The Answer then took the stage with their Irish hard rock fury - even enticing members of the general public to crane their necks over shopfloor balconies into the K! stage area, eager to check out what the fuss was about.
"It was everything we expected from the mighty Kerrang! and more," gushed frotnman Cormac Neeson. "We had an awesome day, and was great to be involved!"
Stay tuned for Fightstar, Enter Skikari and the K! Awards 2007 nominations!
