After Fightstar donned their instruments for a 30-minute set of passionate, new school metal - with the paparazzi out in full effect to catch a glimpse of Charlie Simpson rocking out - Virgin's basement became awash with neon lights and Day-Glo clothing. This could herald none other than the arrival of the Shikari lads onstage - and with resounding album-opener 'Shiiiiitt!!!!', the place erupted.
One hundred high kicks, five stage-divers, one human tower, six mosh-pits, 500 synchronised claps, a billion sweat drips and four exhausted boys later - the K! Day Of Rock was over. Those brave enough to keep going, have climbed the stairs up to the VIP party on Virgin's rooftop.
