fantastic news... i downloaded all hope is gone weeks ago but i never played any track all the way thriugh, i didnt want to spoil the suprise of hearing it on high quality cd... just finished hearing the album, its just amazing slipknot have gone to a new level there the only hard rock act to stand up against metallica... Slipknot rock everyones socks off and I'm glad people see sense!!! Used to be a 'kids' band but I saw em 3 times in Dec and I felt like a youngster! (I'm 23) So I'm not getting the kids band thing lol, although I guess they used to be as I was only 15 when I first saw em which means I was one of the kids everyone hated once haha!
I personally don't like the kerrang! awards. Apparently it's a magazine dedicated to heavy metal but the only bands who win the awards are commercial metal bands when heavy metal started as an underground thing. It's rare to see any good metal band maintain it's musical integrity once it goes mainstream. It would have been cool to see some GOOD European metal bands win an award. Meh, then again, it IS Kerrang. Only they can have awards where that have the likes of Slipknot in the same awards ceremony as Iron Maiden.
